Who we are
-
It began with a shared love for the silver screen and a deep-rooted pride in Polish heritage.
Established in 2018 in the cultural heart of Melbourne, Polish Cinema in Australia Inc. was born from a simple yet powerful conviction: that the stories told by Polish filmmakers deserve a stage as vast as the Australian landscape. We are more than a non-profit association; we are a collective of enthusiasts, curators, and cultural bridge-builders.
From the haunting frames of traditional masters to the bold voices of contemporary cinema, we bring the best of Polish artistry to Australian audiences, fostering a dialogue that transcends borders and generations.

His entrepreneurial vision further expanded through Puma Media, a landmark initiative that brought Polish television into homes across the continent for the very first time. The Golden Kangaroo (Złoty Kangur)
In 2008, Ted’s devotion to cinema culminated in the creation of the Polish Film Festival in Australia. As its Founder and primary sponsor, he established the prestigious Golden Kangaroo Award.
